Try to stay sitting up

It’s ok if you can’t! But at least at the start, try and stay sitting up as to not fa back into the mental hole of rotting. Its perfectly ok and understandable that your body needs rest, but keeping you out of that mental ditch is the goal, and sometimes something as simple as sitting up and leaning on some pillows can help with that.
